Performance and Work Experience

​Lauren currently teaches at the Lowell School in Washington DC, Spencerville Adventist Academy, and maintains a private studio in Silver Spring, Maryland.

 

Locally Lauren has performed in the National Philharmonic, New Orchestra of Washington, Annapolis Symphony, Maryland Symphony and others. Lauren has pefrormed at the Kennedy Center, Strathmore, and the National Cathedral. Previously Lauren resided for nearly a decade in New York city, where she was a longtime member of the New York Symphonic Ensemble, making eight tours in Japan. Lauren has performed throughout the United States, as well as Europe and Asia. In New York, she performed in Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and others. She made her solo debut at age 17 with the Lancaster Festival Orchestra. 

 

In addition to performing classical music, Lauren has performed with notable artists Josh Groban, Michael Buble, The Roots, Sigur Ros, Boyz II Men, Idina Menzel, Randy Travis, Lee Greenwood, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and others, including TV appearances on NBC, ABC, and PBS. She has performed in major stadium venues including the Verizon Center and Madison Square Garden. Lauren was cellist for the grammy-nominated "Nine Types of Light" by TV on the Radio.
